Stronger Than The Storm

Treatment 5 and 6

Thank you all again for all of the prayers, cards and well wishes. I have had two treatments since my last post and have continued to fair relatively well. The side effects of the oxaliplatin are starting to catch up with me but over all if you saw me today I still look like a relatively healthy person! Positivity and a clean lifestyle are carrying me thru!

Next on the agenda is a scan today, March 7th to see how all my progress is coming. Today, I pray that my lung tumors are reduced in size and that I continue to heal towards remission.

I had a great visit with my histotripsy surgeon at my 1 month follow up. My cancer tumor markers are down another 50% and it looks to be a positive sign that my body has responded. We will scan my liver again next month on April 18th to see if another round is on the table. He was optimistic that it was and he was also optimistic that at some point he would be able to remove the remainder of my liver tumor. This does not solve all of my problems but if I can have one less tumor in my body, sounds like a good plan to me! I still feel very blessed that the Cleveland Clinic offers this, that I qualified and that my insurance covered the procedure.

I will have my next round of chemo on March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day. Gone are the days of the Moore’s spending the day at the parade with all of our firefighter friends. That’s ok though. We will still celebrate in a different way, we are fighting this cancer and even St. Patrick is on our side! I have the next 6 rounds of chemo scheduled and will have another scan in May sometime towards the end of the month.

I am actually going to have 2 posts today, the second one is a story in its own and I wanted to give it the attention is deserves.

Reminder to do something for yourself today, read those labels! If you can eliminate sugar and seed oils it will do a great deal for your health!

Peace, love and gratitude to you all! Michelle
